Out of Action for a little while.

Just thought I'd let you know the status of my buddy sailing for (at least) the first half of the year. Just before xmas I had a fall which resulted in a complete rupture of my achilles tendon.
Recovery is progressing very well but I'm not going to be able to sail for some time, latter half of the year at the earliest I'm being advised.
Ive had a conversation with the Derwent Commodore about renewing my membership on some sort of discounted pro-rata basis, but it seems there is no mechanism within club rules to allow this, somewhat disappointing I thought.
Anyway have fun and I'll be back lout there as soon as I can manage.
Sit down paddle boarding will be my on water focus in the meantime.

Get well soon Stuart! Will they not let you exceptionally have an outport membership? OK you are not 100 miles away but you are out of port so to speak for different reasons? Shame if not.

Goodness me, I guess Derwent is nearly open again. Hopefully the water will not be quite as chilly as it was at the beginning of last year
