Many of you may have already heard of the sudden death of Roger while he was on a windsurfing holiday in Sigri on the Greek Island of Lesvos. Rogers funeral was held last Monday followed by a memorial service at DRSC on Wednesday evening. A long standing keen windsurfer, Roger together with his wife Linda were instrumental in bringing numerous new entrants to the sport through their instructing at Derwent, particularly youngsters who additionally benefitted from the club's Team 15 activities.
In recognition of the help and support Linda received from the local people of Sigri she has started a "GoFundMe" page to raise funds for the purchases of defibrillators, one for the village and one for the surf centre. If you would like to donate to this you should be able to access through the following;
