... aye Richie, we took bets and it's you, you won first prize in the predictable comments regarding waves and flat water mate, you're the man, you won.

Conditions ranged from 5ft groundswell / 3ft waves to flat water bump and jump, you can get it all on Tiree, even saw some lovely glassy 4ft'ers, unfortunately the direction was not right or the bay was too sheltered. I think we struck lucky with planing sailing on all 4 days ... 1) 6.3m/97l (2) 4.1m/80l (3) 4.5m/87l (4) didn't sail but a 5.7m/87l would have done it.

Great place, great trip, good company.

Ah Gav - I'm only jossin with ya! Just couldn't resist cos you usually hate flat water (at least you didn't go on the loch).

Glad you had fun though. It's a top place! I've not been for a couple of years which is more fool me really. Must try and squeeze in a trip next year.

The photos on flikr are a mix of everyone's, not just mine, in fact mostly Alan P's. The Hynish Centre was excellent, I'd go back there.

cracking photos, looks good sailing, always good to get out somewhere different and get away from the local gusty venues.
