T15 Champions Cup

The national finals involving the top T15 club from each Zone took place at Pitsford S.C. over the weekend of 13/14th October. Representing the North Zone were Pugneys Pirate from the Wakefield area who had won all 4 of the Zone's inter-club events. Finishing a creditable 3rd from 9 other teams from across the UK they had some superb individual results with their sailors taking 1st places in the 6.8m & 5.8m fleets (beating 23 & 24 other sailors respectively) and also gaining a 2nd and 4th finish in the 3.5m fleet. The talents of a couple of their sailors have also been recognised with their promotion to the RYA National Techno Squad for 2013.

The Team's performance in this national final illustrates once more that in the 15 and under age group this region has some very talented windsurfers and some very good coaches!
