Heading up to Derwent too, about 1. Survival tactics and smallest kit need only apply :)

Sacked off Derwent, was off the scale. Ian went out on 4m and 75l, got slammed and just made it back, getting lifted off the water. No one else out so headed home!

Turned up at 3.00pm and was spin drifting across the water, Ian was just leaving, Dave Donaldson arrived, along with Dave middlemast and we decided to venture out about 3.30, was a reasonable session and Peter Combe joined us , 4.2 and 90 litre, we sacked it about 5.30 as it started getting gusty again and a few to many holes appearing,. Not quite a true WSW more South but with the strength there was enough on the far side to make it righ over to hunter house. Gusts were quite strong, 40-50mph but around not too bad considering

Must have settled down for your session Matt. Its probably the most difficult sailing I've experienced at Derwent or maybe I'm just getting old. Was showing 55mph on the gauge when I went out and it only took 5min to decide it was not for me!
